I need to know if the bag at this link is a genuine Balenciaga.

It's selling for so cheap and the logo bags are not really available at any other stores. So I asked the seller and he said that these bags were made in Argentina by a Balenciaga Paris representative but Gucci purchased Balenciaga brand after all the bags were made and so the seller bought these bags. Does this seem credible? Did Gucci really purchase Balenciaga? I would really appreciate your help!
