Platform pumps - here to stay?

What does everyone think of all the new platform pumps that are coming out this time of year? Seems like just about all the designers are showing them. Do you like this style? Do you think they will be popular for awhile?

What is your favorite toe and heel style in these?

I hope they are - they uber comfy! I prefer a slightly rounded toe or pointy with stilletto type heel.

Man I hope they are! I LOVE platforms and have two pairs...black pumps and black mary janes. I wear them with jeans and slacks about 2-3 x's a week.
