Hi, I would like to purchase a ring for myself with Christmas and my birthday being the excuse!
I have been looking at this ring at a local jewellers for the last few months and today I went in to try it on.
It's 18ct white gold with pink sapphires total weight 1.1ct and diamonds total weight 0.53ct.
It seems really difficult to make comparisons as they are very few pink sapphires on the island I live on.
The price is GBP2,800.
Would you more experienced tpf's day this is a good ring?
Here is a quick photo IMG_1508932794.227003.jpg
Thank you [emoji3]

I think the ring is beautiful but yes the price is high. I could only justify that price if the diamond weight was higher. Have you inquired about any sales, promotions, or discretionary discounts?

I recently got a great deal on a pendant. It was priced at $800 then after the 40% off it was $480, I simply asked if that was their best price and by the time they finished I got the pendant for $255!!!

It doesn't hurt to ask!!!

I agree, it's sadly overpriced. The sapphires also look ridiculously heat treated to me, which is fine, but means they can't command the high price they're asking, along with the diamond weight.

Love the ring but I think the price is a bit steep.

It's a beautiful ring but, like the others, I think it's a little high priced.

Thank you all for your invaluable advice.

I did feel that the price was high/more than what I had earmarked in my mind for a ring.
After my posting I contacted a local jeweller to see if they had anything or if they could give me a rough price on a similar ring. They priced with mid range stones of the same sizes in the region of GBP1500. I will go and look to see what they can offer.

I was just looking for fun on Yoogi's Closet and there's a Tiffany pink sapphire/diamond ring of similar design but different carat weight for the stones. You might take a look online there to get a sense of the price. I've never bought precious jewelry from a reseller, though I have bought from Yoogi's as far as handbags go in the past.

Good luck with your search - please do post a photo if you end up getting a ring. It's so nice to see everybody's beautiful rings!

I took a look and I am sure that is the same as the one I saw on the Tiffany website.

It is nice isn't it ? And nearly my ring size!! I am a L or 5.5

I purchased this diamond and pink sapphire platinum ring today.
I am so pleased with it, the diamonds really sparkle! And the pink sapphires are just the right shade of pink.
It was a local jeweller that made it for me and the price was half the price of the first ring I liked.
I am terrible at taking photos, but here we go [emoji7]
