Update: I am super frustrated with shopping at the FP store. This is exactly why I buy everything online or at department stores when I can get it on sale. I bought that Daily with a Macy's discount price match--I was trying to give the FP store a chance and asked them if they could honor that. I go in to return the item, and said I would like to exchange for the sea mist Preston, but only if I can get the discount I originally used. I explained that I don't get PCE's because my email keeps getting taken off the mailing list even though I used to get PCEs all of the time.
OMG...she then says, well they only send those to certain customers. Well, doesn't that make me feel all warm and fuzzy? I said, I understand that but it is impossible to get a PCE email when they keep turning off your email from their list completely. I had mentioned the PCE, as I figured if they couldn't match Macy's they might just extend a PCE so that instead of giving me a full return, they would actually make more money off of me with a bag that costs more than the Daily did.
She checked and said they could only honor the discount once, so I politely said I would do the full return then.
Why does Coach limit their stores like that? Why would I pay full price for something I can get on sale? It just makes some customers feel bad when they can't get a discount that other people are getting. And the fact the store has to turn away sales because of this practice.
I realize some of the limitations are put on the stores by Coach, and it isn't all their fault, but it doesn't make me feel any better when you don't emphathize with the email situation and then say that they limit those to certain customers as if that is the only reason I don't receive PCEs, or am not worthy enough of the discount.
I think I will just buy this bag at Belk with a coupon they have there...not as much as 25 % off but Coach is showing as out of stock for the seamist, and I am kind of frustrated with all of it now anyway.
On a happy note, I really liked the mini Preston this time around.
