Anyone into the rockabilly, retro, VLV, red-lipstick etc. type of look?

I have a few oufits I consider pin-up esque and will post pictures this weekend, anyone else have pictures of themselves or from elsewhere of their favorites?

I love the pin curled hair and the round toe heels :buttercup:

LOVE this look, but don't have time and energy to pull it off the actual hairstyles, etc.
I usually wear a rockabilly button down with a ponytail and red lipstick to work at least once a week.

I love buying my DH rockabilly clothes from Daddy O's, though.
Another good site for both women and men is http://www.pinupgirlclothing.com/
Beautiful clothes, but their shipping takes forever.

Into the makeup, for sure. I do the eye every. single. day. of my life. But A. I'm not bold enough and B. my lips are too thin to pull off the red lip well. Unless I just haven't found the right shade yet...

There is a clothing store down in New Orleans called Trashy Diva--they have 3 locations, plus a lingerie and a shoe store. The clothes are designed by a woman in NOLA, and inspired by 30's-50's silhouettes. I visited them last year, and bought a blouse and I LOVE it! The cuts really highlight a woman's "assets" in a tasteful way, and give you a nice waist no matter what you really look like. Most of the clothes are made out of a heavy-weight silk with various beautiful patterns. I wish I lived down there so I could shop more often. However, there is a website:

-fabulous stuff!!!!!!

I love, LOVE this look. But like someone else said, it's a lot of work. I enjoy seeing this on other women, i.e. Dita Von Teese, but if I were to try it, it would come off like a costume because my personal style is more contemporary/urban.
