I have the opportunity to purchase a pietersite 5 motif (resale) but am concerned about showering with it. I would never shower with MOP- our town has hard water, and while we do have a house filter, it’s imperfect - but Pietersite is so much harder. I am unlikely to take a bracelet on and off every day, so I will pass and get a diamond 5 motif if it cannot be worn in the shower, but would love to hear from anyone who wears their Pietersite daily. Thank you.

Pietersite is one of the my favorite pieces I own. I don’t shower in it (I am very careful with all my jewelry). I would definitely get it if you have a chance, it’s much more special than diamonds ! Can it be a special location piece ?

I think it is fine to get it wet, but I wouldn’t risk wearing it in the shower if you have hard water considering typical prices on the resale market. Hard water leaves mineral deposits on tile/marble showers and the metal fixtures, so it would be the same for your bracelet. You can clean your shower with abrasive chemicals to remove the deposits, but you should not do this with your bracelet. If you can get one at retail price and don’t mind paying (and waiting ~1 year) to replace the stones periodically, then it might be ok if it is a dealbreaker for you to take it off.

I’ve worn mine in the shower maybe 5 times 🙈 It still looks perfect.
