I’m not sure why (perhaps it’s because I’ve been feeling particularly nostalgic about the late 90s/early aughts) but I’ve started amassing a modest collection of vintage (or nearly vintage) LV pieces. My latest acquisition is an adorable Papillon 26 from fashionphile.
Y’all. It’s SO effing cute in person.
It’s surprisingly spacious for a smaller bag. I can fit my keys, LV recto verso wallet, iphone 11 pro max, a medium size makeup bag, airpods in a small prada pouch (from my 2005 re-edition — a very useful little accessory!), miscellaneous small items (hand sanitizer, tissues, etc), sunglasses, and a mini umbrella, with room to spare! I’m loving the slightly sporty vibe of this bag — it feels current even though it’s nearly 20 years old. The straps are quite short (too short to wear over the shoulder), so it’s definitely a handheld bag. That said, I tried it with my adjustable mono strap (since I like to have a handsfree carry option) and I have to say, I’m kinda digging it. Although I’m typically not a fan of adding a shoulder/crossbody strap to a handheld-only bag, I think this particular combo works. Thanks for letting me share!
