Phone Order for a lindy - is that possible?

Hi everyone,
While ordering a birkin or kelly through phone calls are impossible, what about a Lindy? I would like to buy an etoupe lindy 34 and read from the pricing thread that the lowest price would be to order it from Europe. I have my cousin live in UK so I can ship the bag there, but does the Hermes store entertain phone order for a lindy? Thanks :)

Hi :) I've rung up the PC Hofstraat boutique in Amsterdam, as I'll be looking for a Lindy also while I'm there in a month's time. While they do entertain phone orders, they won't take visa/mastercard payments over the phone. The only way to pay is via bank transfer, iirc.

Oh that's good to hear! Do you think an etoupe lindy is hard to find? My dh went to Paris last week and he said no lindy at all. The crazy searching of kelly and birkin somehow made me think that it's also that difficult to find another h style such as lindy, garden party etc.

No European store will sell you bags over the phone unless you are a regular at that store. I have a friend in Singapore who is a regular at FSH and she gets to order from FSH over the phone all the time throughout the year, but she is about the only foreign "regular" at FSH I know.

Really? That's interesting because the SA that I spoke to over the phone from Amsterdam's PC Hofstraat store sounded like he was willing to do phone sales. I just needed to use wire transfer for my payment.

I don't know what country you are in daniels307, but here in the US, Hermes does do phone (or email) orders for bags. It can depend greatly on the store though. They have shipped me Birkins and Kellys to my doorstep. I can't see a Lindy being a problem. There are also a couple stores who will ship internationally. Hope this helps!

lucky you! is it possible for you to PM me your SA contact? I called several h stores in europe and 99% of them refused to ship, the other 1% doesn't even want to answer what bags that they have for sale!! I'm just too tired to call each of the store so I'm thinking to get it from US store.

Cewek: I called the PC Hofstraat store as well and they initially said they have the Etoupe (gasp!) but after checked it again it's actually a Gris Tourelle. Blue Jean sounds promising but again they don't ship!
