Hi fellow purse lovers, hoping someone can advise me on the following. I received a Phillip Lim small Ryder yesterday from a reputable department store, but I noticed that the color of the hardware on the strap was different: gold, not silver as on the bag. Upon further inspection I also noticed that the leather differs, and that logo, is it Proenza Schouler?

I think the strap was switched. I could request an exchange but since I've bought it on sale chances are they don't have another one. Should I accept the bag and strap anyway? It's such a cute bag :) maybe I can find a better fitting alternative strap. Thanks for any opinions shared!

Hi, I think the strap isn't Proenza because I don't recognize it :wondering

Is the leather similar on the strap and the bag?

Anyway Congrats on your Ryder! :D It looks like a great bag!

No the leather of the bag is smooth and soft and the strap is printed, like stingray. It's not so much the leather that bothers me but the different colors of the hardware. I really like the bag otherwise! :)

Personally I wouldn't mind. I have straps that go from one bag to another, most of the time the hardware is different.😀
