Hi my tpf lovely ladies. I was searching high and low for a bag in a similar shape than my alma vernis beige poudre but in saffiano leather preferably, or a leather that is more 'Canada winter resistant', a more carry-free bag that is not canvas, but I can just wipe clean when I rubbed my bag against my salt-dirt car. I'm careful but still happens, sooooo I looked at the Prada, Gucci and Coach ones and I settle for the Coach Peyton Cora domed in Mahogany colour:D I bought this one in the after the holidays in coach Factory store online.
I'm loving my new Coachie and happy to add her to my collection of 3 now! I thought it would be helpful to add some comparison photos of both side by side.
The size of both is very similar. Both bags are structured, but the vernis leather is much more stiffer than the saffiano.
Both bags have double zippers around, HOWEVER to have acces to the Peyton Coach is so much easier and smooth than the Alma, because the leather is more flexible and the opening wider.
Both have feet, which is nice too. Both have cream fabric linings but the Peyton Cora interior has more compartments, one large zip, two more open..I appreciate this sooo much as well.
Also the Peyton Cora comes ith the dettablable strap, thanks Coach! Anywaysless chit-chat and more action:tup:

Thank you for the photos! One of my complaints of LV has always been their lack of inside pockets. It looks like Coach's straps are a little longer too.

Yes the Coach's strap is adjustable in 2-way: crossbody or shoulder length with punched holes on it. I keep the strap inside the bag for when I need it, but I think this style looks better carried by hand, inner elbow. I love my alma to pieces too, but Jan-March can be brutal in terms of weather and the on the LV handles are shorter too, making it not practical at all to carry it by hand when I'm wearing my winter jacket or parka...I'm very satisfied with the quality of this CFactory, (I usually buy from Coach boutique and they have been raising the bar in terms of craftmanship and quality of the leathers), but when I inspected the stitching, glazing, hardware & leather on this one I was not dissapointed.

Thank you all for your kind comments!! :flowers:

You got a great bag especially for the weather in Canada. I am in New York and know exactly what you mean by getting a bag that can take the harsh winter weather.
I have purchased two of the Peyton Cora dome satchels and love them both.
I got the gray saffiano leather which a great neutral color and goes with everything and also picked up the khaki/brown with red patent handles and strap on clearance.

Congrats on your new Peyton Cora Dome Satchel and thanks for sharing pics for us!

I have an Alma PM too and never use it. It's stiff and has no shoulder straps. And you have to be very careful with the Vernis because of varnish stains that never leave. I regret buying that bag. I also have a Brea and though it is Vernis, I love this bag. It has shoulder straps and it has a wider aperture. Love your Coach bag. A good decision.
