So the crystal went missing on my Kuala Lumpur holiday so after i whatsapp my SA in singapore since i'm from there and bought it there, my SA tells me to go down to any LV stores in KL to ask them to check on the earring since they also have my records. So after reaching there they told me if the crystal is missing they cannot do anything about it. So i'm assuming when you bought something from LV you are expected to check on it every few minutes, it's not on them if their workmanship is bad. Please remember i only wear the earring on the weekend and to me its still look new.

I fully expect them to inspect the earring and see the condition of the earring and see if the jewelry is tampered or not well cared of or if its their fault but none of that in KL LV starhill. Are there a pandemic of LV crystals hoarders that i'm not aware off that they cannot repair it for me if they check it and they just fall off?

The LV in KL and SG don't really gave me an answer that say come down to any LV stores and we check it for you and tell you what is the problem with the earring like really check it. Will post the pic of the earring if i get some comment about other people with similar problems or am i that special?

I am sorry to hear about your experience. But their fashion jewellery is really just pricey fashion jewellery. I guess their policy on wear and tear is that since they recommend it only for occasional use and for a season or two, if they fall apart then it is just business as usual. They don't offer repair services for them. They don't repair anything outside of their core products or high-end products. Like Apple, who repair the iPhones but won't repair their iPhone cases.
I have a bracelet, it is nice, but did show heavy wear after 1-2 years, even though I used it lightly. I didn't regret it, just readjusted my expectations with their fashion jewellery and haven't bought more since.

Thanks for the reply but so weird their policy is like this and LV cannot stand by on the quality of their goods. Anyway here is the culprit photo.IMG_4461.jpeg

I agree with the previous poster. Fashion jewelry is made with base metals and glue. The stones or attachments are not really meant for long term wear because all glue will eventually wear down. This is why I don't buy any Chanel or LV fashion jewelry. It really stinks that your earring is ruined, but I would stay away from fashion jewley unless you don't mind this happening at some point. I know some people have had fashion jewelry for years and had it stay very nice looking, but I am more surprised than anything when I hear of those stories. A jeweler can always re-plate rhe colored plating if it fades or chips, but I don't trust the jewelers glue or cement that holds the pieces together. I hope they can do something to help you!! Please keep us posted.
