Hey all! So I spend money on these expensive bags meant to last a lifetime. Except I find myself rarely using them, especially my nicest or most favorite ones. Today I was browsing bags as I always do and came across a bag I had already purchased in really great condition besides really minor scuffs at the bottom of the bag I hardly noticed while inspecting. This bag was marked up much higher and I was thinking, should I try to save up for it? From a resale site anyone could buy? Then possibly sell my other one later on? And it gave me this realization that I must have some sort of issue. The MINOR scuffs are at the bottom of the bag, no one knows this but me (and now you guys haha) and it would be so foolish for me to try to save up money i don't even have right now to buy the same bag twice in hopes i would go through the effort to sell the other bags.
I was thinking wow. Especially during the pandemic too. Bags are meant to be used not sit in my closet. And I try to "save" my bags, for what? Minor imprecations are hardly noticeable and just because they are expensive doesn't mean I should baby them to the point of barely using them. I'm most likely going to regret not using them right? I mean i'm not getting any younger haha. Has anyone gotten over this? sorry for the lengthy post.
