I want to own the perfect minimalist collection of LV SLG's, but it's so difficult to choose between them. I need something for my keys, cards and miscellaneous small items. Right now I have:

- Mono Clés for keys and coins (love it)
- Zipped Card Holder in Empreinte for cards/bills/coupons (I'm on the fence with this one, it's useful with the zipper but maybe a smaller card holder would be enough for me)
- Etui Voyage PM as a keepall in my bigger purses and as a clutch on it's own (love it)
- Empreinte Clés that I don't use at the moment, but thinking to fill it up with a small mirror, bandaids, hair ties, small usb, medicin, etc. (I wanted it for a long time but for some reason I don't love it)
- Small empreinte pouch from the Citadine bag (love it but I'm a bit worried to use it because it's a light colour and it was so difficult to find)

And I'm thinking to buy:

- Reverse Mono Cardholder to use in my smallest bags or just in my pocket for two cards and bills
- Mini Pochette which would actually fit my phone, reverse cardholder and mono clés (I think), and also to use it for small miscellaneous things and cables in bigger bags

I want as few SLG's as possible, but I really don't know which ones would be the best for me. Those of you who only have a few SLG's, which have you chosen and why? :smile:

I'm currently thinking through a similar "problem" to solve.

I have a mono Clé, a mini wallet Accordeon I've had forever that I use as a card holder and a Pochette Accessoire. Sometimes I put it all in the Pochette Accessoires, sometimes I use all separately. Easy to switch in and out of bags. I tend to put my phone in the Pochette Accessoires if the bag doesn't have a good flat pocket for it.

But I feel a few needs aren't met...
I do need a round coin purse for coins (Clé is not big enough).
And I feel I need a wallet. I looked at the zippy and XL organiser as I felt that's what I needed but the reality is that I don't need all that space! I just need more "holders" to hold a variety of things.

Currently I've decided to go with the Pochette Félicie which feels a little bit left field but it comes with 2 inserts: card holder and a zipped flat pouch which will fill the void nicely. The pochette itself can be used inside another bag or on its own, so very versatile. And best of all, it comes with a chain strap I can also use on my Pochette Accessoires; perhaps even as an accessory to another bag.

So that's where I'm at! Let us know what you decide!

I can say I am a “minimalist” because I don’t want to have so many bags and slg’s which would just sit in my cabinet for months. I don’t find it practical to have so much just for the sake of having it. I want my luxury items to be well loved and well used. Basically, I am not a collector. I buy luxury so I can use luxury hehe

my slg’s that i have and I always use.
- Clemence wallet DE/rose ballerine - my everyday wallet. I’ve had it since 2016 and i use it everyday. I also keep my cards, receipts and bills in here if I need to switch to my small wallet
- Cles pochette DE - using this for coins everyday and as a mini wallet sometimes.
- Rosalie coin purse mono/rose ballerine - my small wallet for smaller bags that cannot fit my clemence wallet. I purchased this just this December 2020. Before I had this, I just use my cles but it’s so snug so I decided to buy a Rosalie
- 6 key holder mono- for my keys. I was using a 4key holder before but I sold it because I needed to upgrade for more room
- mini pochette DE - for my cosmetics and bits and bobs inside my bags. This suits my needs very well :smile: i just transfer this from bag to bag.
- reverse mono cardholder - this one is my most recent buy. I havent used it yet :smile: this is my first cardholder purchase and if I dont find it useful, I will return it for a refund or replacement

I love LV SLGs (probably even more than the bags ). My most used SLGs ranked in order:

1) Mini Pochette (Mono & DE): I carry my MP in all my handbags. I store my lip balm, a mask, hand sanitizer, AirPods, and a few travel size skin care items. I purchased a cross body strap for it so when I need to run a quick errand I just add my car key, ID and credit card to it.

2) 6 Key holder (Mono): I use this to organize my car, house and other keys. It’s used daily.

3) Key pouch (Mono & DG): I use this when I want to “downsize”. It’s great for carrying just the essentials and fits perfectly inside my smaller bags. It’s the only small pouch I’ve found that can fit my cards, ID, car key fob and some cash comfortably.

4) Zoe Wallet (Empriente): I hate full-sized, bulky wallets so the Zoe wallet is perfect for me. It takes up very little space in my handbags yet still allows me to store cards, cash and coins. My only issue is that given the compact size, the cards are not as easy to remove as some of my other wallets, so I placed my most used card in the outside pocket to help with that.

My favorite SLGs:

1) Mini Pochette: It’s such a versatile piece. It can be used as a catch all inside a bag, as a wristlet, mini purse or a cross-body bag. I’ve also attached my mono MP to my PA and made my own DIY multi-Pochette.

2) Key Pouch: It holds quite a bit considering the small size and can hold a variety of items (coins, cards, cash, keys, lip balm, earphones etc). It can also be used as a bag charm.

I actually have lots of SLGs, LV SLGs are my weakness. :biggrin: But I do love them all and I rotate them. My favourites are:

1. Key pouch/clés -- I have several and it's my favourite SLG. I use them to attach to my car key, and inside I store coupons, car park tickets, shopping trolley tokens etc.

2. Pochette -- I have mini pochettes, regular pochette accessoires and toiletry pouches. Whatever size and shape works for you, these are so handy to use as a catch-all inside your bag, and to use on their own too.

3. Key holder -- I have a few different styles but my favourite is a vintage zipped 6-key. Of course you'll get loads of use out of this!

4. Zippy Compact Wallet (original style) -- My all-time favourite wallet. I wish I had purchased the Monogram version as well as DE, before they changed it to accordion style.

I love to read what you use your SLGs for :smile: I realised that I can also fit my key (yes, I only have one) in the empreinte zipped card holder, except cards and cash, so now it's the only thing I really need to take with me when I go out. I also decided that I will sell the empreinte key pouch and buy a mini pochette instead. It seems so useful. I just hope I can get hold of one, I've been stalking the LV website for a while but no luck so far...

I think my phone can fit in the mini pochette, it's a quite small Xiaomi and from the measurements it seems like it would work. So if it fits my phone and the zipped card holder/reverse card holder I could also use it as a small clutch.

Over time I have found that I need more and more SLGs! What else is one going to put into a bag?

After much thought I have decided against the Felicie because the actual pochette is too big and not enough of a bag or clutch.

Right now, I’m set on the Pochette Trio. Those 3 pouches seem to fit my needs better and I can use the wristlet on my pochette accessoire.

Your slg's sound lovely, but I need to know... what is a shopping trolly token?

Haha, I wondered about that while I was typing it, if people outside the UK would know what I meant. :lol: So basically our trolleys (or carts!) at supermarkets take coins, you have to insert a pound coin in order to use it, but you can also have a metal token the same size and shape that you can attach to your keys etc. This has stopped at a lot of shops due to COVID but the store I usually use still requires one if you want to use a trolley!

Thank you for the explanation. :cool: I suspected that might be the case, but thought surely they don't charge to use a cart/trolley in the market. Guess I was wrong! I've shopped at Tesco in London, but I don't remember having to pay to use the cart. But that was 7 years ago.

Here’s what I’ve found to get the most use:

  1. 6 key holder in Daimer Graphite. Love that it accommodates my large key fob and house keys. I feel like this is one of the best LV purchases I’ve made based on use and durability.
  2. TP 15 in Mono. It’s tiny enough to not take a lot of room in my bags, but large enough to hold essentials.
  3. Zippy Coin Purse in DA. Holds plenty without taking up space.
  4. Pocket Organizer (I have two: Cobalt and Mono Eclipse Foliage). I by far get the most use out of these. Will be buying more!
  5. Card Holder. I’ve yet to use this, but haven’t had much chance with COVID. Bought for when I’m on vacation and just need something tiny for cards.

The coin card holder from the men's collection!!

I keep my 4 main cards in the four card slots, extra cards in the zipped pocket along with my house key and a cheque.

In the slip pocket I keep cash and receipts.

Mini pochette I use as a catch all for bandaids, hair ties, a small pocket knife, a small nail file, pill container, lip balm, etc.
