Perfect Chanel bag for Casual wear, lunch with friends, mornings

Dear Chanel lovers, really appreciate your help. Im looking for a casual lightweight Chanel bag for Casual wear,lunch out & Mornings mainly. I am tall at 6 ft and prefer to have the option of crossbody. I already have WOC and black Reissue 227 GHW. Options are
1- Chanel 22 ( realize its not crossbody but like it)
2- Reissue 226 RHW
3- Old Boy Medium
4- Mini rectangular
5- Gabrielle
6- Business affinity - not a pretty bag but read great reviews

I’m one of the rare TPFers that like the 22, but I don’t have one (I’m more a H bag person, and for chanel, my latest is the so black mini chevron reissue). I personally am not a fan of the Gabrielle. I have a boy bag (a micro stingray) but the mediums were all too big and boxy. I’m 5’2. I don’t recommend getting a bag that you think is unattractive which would rule out the business affinity.

I recommend going to a store and trying on what they have. It’s a very personal choice. In terms of ranking, given your preferences above; the fact that you already have a reissue 227; and, my own preferences:

Mini reissue (the mini is different enough from the one you have)
Reissue 226
Old boy medium
Business affinity
Gabrielle

ETA: if you want a 22, some TPFers have had bad luck with the leather, and I believe @TraceySH started a thread.
I’ve always had good luck with chanel bags, even the striped metallic, so that , combined with your statement that you like it, put it on the top of the list.

The 19 looks like chained pillow on me, but it is a great casual bag for many others. I love all of the action pics of @Dextersmom . And it is apparently super durable

I love the boy, but when I wear it crossbody, it hits a bit high (somewhere in between my waist/hip), and I’m 5’7”. If you can, try it on crossbody to see if you can live with that.

I don’t mind the awkward length because the boy is a perfect every day, casual, brunch/dinner, etc bag to me.

I don’t like the 19 bag. Reminds me of a pillow. The 22 is growing on me but so worried about the quality issue. Its a tough choice for me. The mini reissue will sit high as crossbody

I think it’s a little on the heavier side. I read on tpf that the chain is now hollow but the bag is leather-lined but haven’t verified it myself (if the chain is hollow).

• So I'm 5'6" and the mini flap - rec or square - looks silly on me from a crossbody perspective as it doesn't seem to hit me in the right spot. I also don't think this is big enough for every day. I use mine as a night out or dinner bag.
• While not in your list, the Chanel 19 is my absolute favorite casual bag although I don't wear that crossbody either - but I think it is the best for every day. I've now gotten in black and beige and wear them constantly. I also take this from day to night with ease. I have both colors in the small size, which has a longer chain strap than the medium size. I honestly might get this in a third color.
• Otherwise, I'd do the boy bag, which happens to be on my list as well, or the 22. I find being able to toss whatever you need in the 22 and throw it over your shoulder very appealing.
• I personally am not a big fan of the Gabrielle or Reissue styles.
• I like the Business Affinity as well, but the chain is delicate and it's not adjustable so hard to wear crossbody for its shape. I ended up selling my Business Affinity for that reason (chain fell down off my shoulder, and it leaned forward/would fall over if sat up on a chair/table).

Either the Boy bag or the Reissue might work best for you. I happen to like my Business Affinity for casual daily wear (prefer the medium to large sizes) but if you don't like the look of it, then you should probably not get it.

Since you want a casual light weight bag, I think the Chanel 22 would be a good option. You already have the 227 reissue. Personally, a mini reissue is too small for everyday use for what I carry. I have the ultimate soft lambskin hobo from like 2008/2009 and I use that a lot for casual use and it reminds me of the chanel 22.

Among the options you listed, I suggest the mini rectangular. It is a classic and will be more versatile. You can also use it for both evening and casual wears. We are at an age of downsizing and do not need big wallets, phones, etc. Even makeup and toiletries are available in travel sizes now. Unless you need a bag with bigger capacity then I would suggest the Chanel 19 which is not in your list but is a great casual low key bag.
