Pelham tote

Hello! I'm new here and would like some Gucci advice!
I'm only getting one bag a year and keeping my options open.
Do you guys/gals have any pros/cons about the studded pelham tote? Pics would help. Is this too "trendy" or out dated, heavy, not an everyday bag? I'm looking for an everyday bag actually.... Please help!

I'm not too familiar with Gucci styles but found a canvas one and leather one on Google...I did have a sukey canvas tote and it was not heavy at all... I did like both styles I saw, classic with a edge to it with the studs......
