Hi everyone,

I recently purchased this Chanel bag (and have not worn it yet). I'm not sure if this is "peeling". It's not super noticeable from afar, but it is obvious up close.

Please let me know what you guys think. Will this get worse over time?

It can be ”coloured” in at repair but if it’s a new bag try to get an exchange. I’ve returned caviar before since it was peeling too. It would bother me if it’s a new bag
Definitely bothers me, but black minis are so hard to find these days. :-s Will definitely reach out to Chanel though...

Hi! I got this mini Chanel for Christmas/birthday in January. I wore it just once ( on my birthday!) and I already noticed this peeling. The SA said it cannot be repaired in Paris. Should I request an exchange? It is my first Chanel bag and I m really disappointed! I waited very long for a red mini what do you think?

Hi! I have an update! I took the bag to Chanel in madrid ( where I bought it) and they said it was unusual to be damaged so soon ( I bought it in mid-Dec and only wore it one day!), so they are going to send the red mini bag to Paris for repair or whatever solution they can provide (maybe replacement?). They said it would take about 2 months (Covid, they said!) to get it back, though the solution would be found probably sooner. They were nice, but WTF, Chanel!!!
