Peeling in Gucci Swing Tote

I purchased my Gucci "Medium Swing Leather Tote" in November 2014.

Today, I noticed that there is peeling in the pink leather. A smaller circular part of the pink is gone revealing the uncoloured leather underneath. It looks like there are dirty spots on the pink.

I have attached a picture. The spots are to the left of my thumb with the biggest one closest to my nail.

Please advise whether this can be repaired. Thanks everyone!

Unfortunately this looks like normal wear and tear to me. You've had the bag for a year now and I would not expect it to remain pristine after daily use, this goes for all brands even Hermes. I think the only way to fix any wear would be to take it to a leather repair shop to repaint the peeled off areas. I've seen videos online but those are just for leather car seats etc, so much bigger surface area. Still, I wouldn't worry too much about it at this point, enjoy your bag!

not sure if your local Gucci store would help you to fix it.. my SA did mention before that if I had any problems with my tote I could bring it back to them for re-dyeing or re-stitching

I haven't gone to the Gucci store yet as the closest one is about 30 minutes away. Now that it's the holiday season, I'm afraid to brave the malls. I will probably try next week.

Hopefully, they will be willing to re-dye at least. I'm not looking for an actual replacement as everything else about the bag is fine and I have had it an entire year.

Any idea how much re-dying will cost?

Sorry, I have no idea on repair/re-dye costs. :( Any way you can call the shop to see if they offer these services?
