Hi lovely ladies (and lads)
Does anybody have any tips on where to buy quality pearls in the United Kingdom?
I know I have seen sight of some american online stores and although I can find .co.uk sites on a search engine, I can't find any recommendations.
I am looking to buy either a 32" or so 7-8mm set or a 16-18" set of the same size.
Any pointers/ideas would be very much appreciated as the money is burning a hole in my wallet :D

I've now found out!
I have been looking at them on qvc and have my eye on this http://www.qvcuk.com/ukqic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/app.detail/params.item.697213.cm_scid.KeywordSearch
But when i view the clip on the site, the beads look like an oval shape - does anyone know if this is so or is it just the quality of the clip?
thanks again for any help:smile1:

I think its just the clip ...i have bought loads from them since 12 yrs and you can always return it in 30 days if you dont like .I have lots of honora from qvc ,and they are very nice .its a big brand in America ..if you google them and cost much more.

thank you all so much for your help and advice. I have seen some gorgeous pearls with an 18k clasp in Annoushka (which I think is a fairly high end brand in the UK) but I have been unable to get an answer from them regarding the quality/grade of the pearls.
Am I being too obsessive about all this given that I have a fairly limited budget. I am now veering towards the honora range on QVC but the ones that I have already seen on discount in Annoushka are pretty much the same price. I guess it is a nice decision to have to make...:smile1:

^^ah, that's interesting - I have been on their website and this is not mentioned at all. Arggh!
There seems to be a number of sites in the US where one can buy pearls based on type and grade but I'm struggling in the UK

^^umamanikan,
we crossed posts - that would therefore make the qvc prices very good, no? - back to them then!
I was hoping for a gold clasp and qvc seem to only do silver in my price range. Need to compromise.

You can always try them .if you dont like send them back ,and also there is one year guarantee on anything you buy ,so if in between it breaks or something they will refund everything including your P&p
