Has anyone had a (Hiko) PDO thread lift to increase the height of their nose bridge and tip? If so, what was the experience like? How long did it last? How does it compare to fillers in terms of the height achieved?

I did PDO threadlift and filler before getting rhinoplasty and for me it really only helped define and raise the nose bridge very slightly (which was not drastic enough for me so i got a nose job). Almost no one noticed I had anything done so it can only provide a really subtle difference if that's what you're going for.

Thanks for responding! How many threads did you get? Did it also affect your rhinoplasty and did you have to wait for the threads to dissolve?

hey I got about 7-8 threads done iirc

i waited for 2 years after my nose thread for my rhinoplasty (involuntarily...i had school HAHA) but my aesthetic doctor warned me that i can't get a nose job for 1-2 years so i would have to wait anyway.

i had the same concern as you and in my research, some plastic surgeons remove the threads when they do the rhinoplasty anyway. so it wasn't really a concern and i think my own nose surgeon said he would remove the threads if there were any

but anyways to add my 2 cents, don't waste your money on PDO nose threads or filler. they don't really make your nose slimmer at all and are more expensive in the long run. (also, many aesthetic doctors have the tendency to overfill the nose bridge to give the illusion of a higher nose, but it looks really fake and other people can tell). but if your concern is just the height, they are a quick option you could consider i guess

ah thank you so much!! would you mind sharing which clinic you went to? to be honest, i'm mostly OK with my natural nose but wanted to experiment with threads to confirm if i actually wanted a nose job. i think i may try it since it's reversible...

i got mine done at Radium Aesthetics with Dr Siew. he is really passionate about facial aesthetics and quite skilled so you're in safe hands with him. prices are also reasonable for both bridge augmentation and tip augmentation. (nose threads are also used to make the tip more pointy but IMO it doesn't work very well but still good to try)

Oh wow! I saw this video the other day of a girl who went to Radium and was pretty happy with her results .

I'm heading to Korea (& Singapore) next month so perhaps I should just do it in SG since I don't have to worry about finding an English speaker in Korea. Thank you!!

yup nose threads are good if you just want more bridge definition and a higher bridge. within 30 minutes of getting the procedure done it looks really drastic, but after the recovery and the swelling goes away, it tends to come down quite a lot so it's really only if you're ok with a subtle change

hmm if you're going to Korea, I would just get it done in Korea because it is really a LOT cheaper and the skills of the doctors are definitely on par with Singapore. don't worry about language barrier because most clinics with english websites have english speaking staff. if not you could download a translation app like i did when i got my surgery/aesthetic procedures done in Korea if you're worried.

on a side note, dr siew's appointments are really packed bc he's so popular so you might not be able to book it in time for your trip. so you should definitely contact them as soon as possible to book an appointment if you're set on doing it in Singapore with Radium.

Do NOT get this if you're looking to do rhino. I did it and had to pay extra to get the threads removed and it was more complicated because of prior scarring. The effect is much less impressive than rhino, especially for the tip

Does anyone have any experience with the use of donated fascia for rhinoplasty? (for the bridge and tip is what I was quoted for - for $6.6k USD) and recommended to get.
Can’t find anything online about potential complications or risks of resorption/poor healing etc.

Rib cartilage is more than double the cost.

also sorry, just made this acc and don’t know how to create my own thread on here.

Hi.., I’m also curious myself about the uses of donated fascia in rhinoplasty. Thanks in advance for sharing.

Hi! Do you still like the result of your nose thread and filler?

I had thread lift to increase the bridge and tip, I don't recommend it finally. For my nose, it didn't really work.
There will be some people who are satisfied. However, I had to remove it all on my rhinoplasty and the removal fee was high.
