In order to increase the amount they let you transfer, you have to fax them a laundry list of things to make them happy, and give them your social security number, etc., etc. It's all really scary, it makes my head spin, the thought of them having every last shred of personal information possible. With all of the ebay/paypal fraud and hijackings I don't really feel comfortable with them having all of this information, so I have a paypal debit card that I use. It costs money at the ATM, but I circumvent their $500 limit this way. I just withdraw it from paypal from the ATM and deposit it into my checking account. Kind of a pain, but worth it to keep them from owning my soul.
