I was wondering if I could get some advice please. I am very interested in a lovely H bag from a highly regarded seller - she is on the reputable H sellers list. I have contacted her re postage to Australia and she has indicated she would want to be paid via wire transfer.

I have never done this on ebay - all the advice is NOT to. I have never spent this kind of money on a bag and am very nervous about proceeding. She has excellent feedback (100%), answered my questions etc etc. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I totally understand her concerns about sending me a bag that is so valuable - I also have 100% feedback and have had over 150 transactions on ebay.

Would appreciate any help/advice. Many thanks!

It's really all at your own risk. Anything can happen, even if it were a seller on the safe list. Go into it with your eyes open. I have done this wire transfer myself 3 times with good results. I can only speak for myself, I would never tell anyone on the net that it is ok to send your money to a stranger. Have you gotten the bag authenticated? Who is the seller? How strict is your customs?

Do you have recent photos of the bag? Some of her bags have been selling for many months, or even years. This is a fair statement that I'm making as I've stalked her listing for a particular bag for 2 years. And it hadn't sold for a long time until recently. So I don't know how good her storage is. Never bought from her before.

Thanks LS - I really appreciate your advice and help. I am tending more away from a direct wire transfer just because of all the associated risks. I am thinking I will wait until a bag comes up on one of the other sellers not associated with ebay. Thanks so much!
