Patina on new vachetta

Hi!

I noticed today that my vachetta strap for the Pochette Accessoires w/chain is not getting an even patina like the straps from my older PAs. See the picture, the top one is my newest and the underside doesn't seem to patina that much at all. It still looked brand new even though it's a couple of months old (the top has slight patina).

The older ones got an even patina from the beginning.

Is it something new with how the straps are made? Has anyone else experienced this?

Maybe it's just the light but it certainly looks unusual. Also how come the inside doesn't have the groove?

Never seen this before. Give it time, maybe the other sides needs a little more time. Or wear it in reverse, see if the patina develops.

That’s normal for vachetta leather.
