Hi all, I do not own anything patent leather yet, but would love to. How difficult is it to maintain? My SIL had a patent leather mini in pink and she said it became sticky after some years. Kindly share your experiences with this type of leather and how it ages. TIA

I have a patent leather medium flap for about 8 years in pink, so far, no stickiness. I don't use any care products. I don't clean it. maybe just wipe it with a dry cloth. My sister has one in black and hers look amazing too. I think her bag is about same age as mine. We both didn't have any issue.

I am looking for either a candy pink or a baby blue rectangular mini. I’m a sucker for colors.
Omg those are pretty color. I want too!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I saw a candy pink medium flap that I kept looking at a preowned shop. I overspend during covid. Never seen a baby blue mini rectangular. If I see one, will let you know.

I have a cobalt blue patent leather Just Mademoiselle bowling bag from many many years ago and still look brand new. Maybe because it is a structure bag and I don't use it at all (prob carried it like 10 times total). I take good care of my bag and store it properly. It's definitely not for everyday use. Patent leather is very shiny and looks best when dressing up. Good luck deciding!

Totally agree. Look stunning when dressing up. Patent does keep its structure well.

I normally wouldn’t consider patent leather but recently found this which I think I really like!

Not sure if it’s a “forever” bag or if I’ll end up getting bored and selling. If it’s the latter I’d rather not buy it at all because it takes so much time and effort to sell.
