Patchwork Venetia-can the chain be removed?

I'm a big MJ fan, but the styles with chains aren't for me. Based on the pictures, it looks like maybe the chain on this bag is removable. Anybody know?

yes, it's removable! I don't use mine with the chain at all.

Not all chains can be removed. What other bags are you considering?

I've lost the list, but I looked up all the bags that Nordstrom is putting on sale. The vast majority of them have chains (I managed to get a Bordeaux Christy, though)
