Passed on 2 Birkin's

I've had to pass on two Birkin's that were available within the last year because they were out of state and I have to be there to pick it up.

Even with transfering a bag the closest store is 6 hrs away. They are willing to take my cc over the phone to hold the bag but I have to go to the store to pick it up. As if the bag isn't expensive enough, I'd have to pay for a trip to get it.

Why won't Hermes ship or transfer bags?

Any other suggestions on how I can get the bag?

Do you have an SA at any store? Perhaps if he/she can get involved and vouch for you? Maybe then they would be willing to ship to you?

No relationship with sa. They were going to talk to a manager but I haven't heard back yet.

Can someone tell me the difference between Clemence and Togo leather?

Clemence is softer baby bull and Togo is adult bull and is stiffer. If you want a slouchy birkin then get clemence. In a 30cm the floppiness will not be bad if you store her well. If you are getting a 35 the difference will be noticeable.

Togo is baby calf. Fjord is adult bull.

Well if you let us kow where you are / Hermes shop is, there might be members who be willing to offer you some assistance. Maybe not for now, but certainly for the future?

My SA ships to me and it's about 6-7 hours away...develop a relationship with the H store and I'm sure they will accommodate your H desires...

the clemence look like the togo when you look at the leather grain (sorry for my english) but is smoother. the bag tend to fall on itself (one more time sorry difficult to explain

I have 2 30cm in clemence, you see the difference. togo is really harder and croc even more (never close mine since long to open)
