Hello ladies and gents of purse forum,
I'm looking for the best bag for day to day life in Paris. I work in finance and I want a bag that makes a statement but that's not too flashy that can be worn with a crossbody strap.
I happen to love Celine (Philo Celine... not a huge fan of Sliman's changes). I just sold my pre loved Celine mini black Belt bag (inappropriately named because the mini is actually quite big) because I felt that it was too bulky for my commute in the metro and walking around, plus the strap can only be worn on the shoulder (pic of me and mini belt bag).
I was thinking about downsizing to the micro Belt bag in black because I still love the look of the bag but it also has a crossbody strap... but I could save money on another bag like the large Trio. I like the simplicity of the Trio, it looks so easy to get things in and out from the zippers. The downsides are that I've read other posts in the forum talking about the flimsy-ness of the strap and my other colleague has it (I don't feel comfortable getting the same bag...)
I am in love with the Celine Box bag size medium but it costs more than I want to spend (plus I have the Celine Trotteur size small which has a similar vibe but I only use this bag for evening since it's too small for everyday use).
I could go in the completely opposite direction with another designer and get the Chloé Drew bag, Gucci Interlock (maybe too flashy, but I would love a bag with a little bling to dress up a casual outfit), or Saint Laurent Sac du jour (although I see a lot of women in Paris with this bag... maybe too many).
What are your thoughts? Any ideas of a chic and functional crossbody bag?
