Guys I am so sick of myself deliberating over what size watch to get. Please help me put this to rest!

I got a preowned Panthere small with diamonds. Initial thought is that it’s beautiful - and now I feel like it is kinda small. I wears lots of knits and wide leg pants and visually kinda feels like it gets lost in a full length outfit shot.

Also, I had sold a two tone panthere years ago because it felt small and quite dated. The older version has a warmer face and it was brushed finish which makes it feel more vintage - didn’t dig it at the time.

So now I’m wondering if I should try the medium. Feel like the medium is more similar size when compared to other watches I’ve bought. Don’t know why I didn’t just try all the sizes on all together 😂

I’m so torn - My original thought with the small Panthere was that it would fill a cool tone gap in my yellow gold jewelry/watch collection. Im 5ft 2, with avg sized limbs - 6.5” wrist and around 125lbs. I have no problem reading the smaller size.

TIA!!

Here’s shea mcgee wearing a medium(?) I believe. She’s taller at 5ft 5 but I think it suits her. IMG_7901.webpIMG_7925.webpIMG_7926.webp

Smaller watches are having a moment. If you can, keep the small with diamonds and get a medium without diamonds.

The small with diamonds fills the "watch as jewelry" category. Classic, as vintage watches show. The lovely small face, delicate band, and sparkly diamonds make this watch perfect for day and night. The small size keep the diamonds from being overwhelming for day, but provide just enough sparkle without being gaudy for night.

The medium without diamonds is more everyday, like the pictures you show in your post. The medium with diamonds is also fabulous but a lot more expensive and in my opinion, it is not so necessary to have diamonds on an everyday piece. The size of the face excludes it from being "jewelry" as the larger face makes it more clearly a watch and simply less delicate.

Are you planning on returning the small if you get a medium or keeping both? If you have to return the small in order to get the medium, then I would suggest getting the medium since you've already had the small size and didn't love it, and now you are questioning it again. You clearly love the medium, so if you can only have one, I say go for that one.

Try on the medium and see if it makes your heart sing. If it does, then it's the one.

If you're still not sure, take photos, and think about it.
If it's still bugging you that the small size is too small and you feel better with the medium, then the medium is probably the one for you.

I like to read my watches so I chose a medium over the small. I don't have diamonds, mine is the TT. But I wear it everyday.

Here are some of my photos before I made my decision: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/cartier-watch-photo-comparisons-panthere-and-tanks.1057434/

I have the medium in TT RG with diamonds. I think it's actually quite small for a watch overall and I find it photographs larger than it is in person. Definitely worth a try on if you're not sure about the small. I wonder if she's wearing a large SS in the photos you've attached as that looks larger than mine.

I can only keep one unfortunately but if I had more funds, that def would have solved it lol

It’s entirely possible! Her bracelet part looks pretty chunky to me.. but hers is actually a two tone. The two tone reads like SS at a distance.

You can’t go wrong with either size. I think the appeal with the panthere is that it tends to look elegant and feminine because it runs on the smaller size compared to most watches. The medium is nice but the size is more on par with any other watch on the market. I have small yellow gold with diamonds and think it’s the perfect size. Another thing to note is if you tend to have a substantial stack on your right wrist, you may want to pair it with a more subtle watch. If you tend to wear just one or two pieces on your non-watch wrist, then you can go for the medium.

Thanks everyone for sharing their opinions! I decided to keep the small with diamonds after all!

It was a tough call because the medium is the size I normally would have gotten. The big aha moment came when I asked myself what other SS watches could replace the medium Panthere and I came up with few alternatives.

I figured what I wanted from the Panthere is the jewelry like aspect of it after all. I’m loving the high polish and way the diamonds sparkle in the light - tried adding a cubic tennis bracelet and I was sold. Normally I’d be terrified of stacking but it’s already preloved so I don’t care lol.

I hope my long deliberation from mini to small and then small to medium helps someone 😂 happy Sunday everyone!
