Hi all,

I found a Pandora bracelet today at a thrift store for 4 CAD. It has 3 charms. I determined the bracelet itself is fake by comparing it to an authentic Pandora bracelet I already owned. One of the charms on this thrifted bracelet is fake as well (a Murano glass retired daisy charm). The bracelet also came with a Best Friends scroll charm, which is real because it's heavy and all the details and stamps are identical to authentic Best Friends scroll charms I was able to find online. The last charm is a smiling Buddha charm. I think it's real as well, but there's a small imperfection on the inside hole where the bracelet threads through, so I don't know 100%. Does this forum authenticate Pandora, or where can I go to get this authenticated? I can provide pictures if needed.

TIA!

Even if its fake at least you only lost 4 cad. My mom bought an entire barcelet with murano charms for 50 cad and to this day she thinks its authentic. I tried telling it to her but she wouldnt hear of it. I once bought a fake mk bag by accident and found out that it was fake weeks later and she also thinks its authentic. Avout pandora, its getting harder to authenticate because even aliexpress sells fake charms.

Thanks for your reply! I spent a good amount of time comparing every single photo I could find, and it looks to me like the buddha charm is indeed authentic, just an older version. But even if it is fake, it's no biggy; mostly asking out of curiosity. You bring up a good point about AliExpress though, and I've seen more and more Pandora stuff at the thrifts that's fake. I don't buy any Pandora stuff secondhand (unless it's super cheap) because some of those fakes are so good, you'd have to have the real version next to you to be able to tell.

if you check aliexpress youd see even the disney pandora charms. I just dont know how accurate they are. My friend though she bought what she thought was a discounted pandora charms and she toldme when it came she knew at once that they were fake

You have to be really careful. Some of the fakes are pretty good, but if you're lucky enough to be able to compare to a real charm, you can usually tell. I bought the Stitch Christmas charm from ebay, and I wasn't sure. I work at a store that sells Pandora, and we were finally able to get some of the Stitch charms and I could tell by comparing that they were fake (I had only bought them from ebay because we weren't able to get them at first). I was able to get my money back, the seller swore they were authentic, but I knew for a fact they weren't.
