Hi all,

So I fell in love with the lv Sirius it fits all of my criteria for a travel bag. However one thing it falls short on is I’m not a big fan of monogram. One option I had was to paint the entire bag. What do you guys think? Have you seen an lv bag painted? (that doesn’t look tacky no offense). Or is this just a bad idea?

I’ve seen the Sirius in epi but those are hard to come by especially in a size I want.
Would to hear your opinions or ideas. Thanks!

This is an interesting question. If you just have motifs painted all over, even big ones, some pattern will be visible. But to paint all the canvas blue for example... certainly unique but a little hard to imagine for me :)
I just checked the Épi ones, those are gorgeous. What size are you looking for?

Going to have to agree with @boyoverboard above me. I think painted items generally end up looking cheap or tacky. I also feel there is a LOT of room for error in a project like this...what if you get paint on the vachetta? What if the paint cracks after it dries? What if the paint begins to chip off in the future revealing glimpses of monogram canvas? I don't think you would be happy in any of these scenarios. Keep looking for an epi one, your perfect preloved bag may be out there somewhere!

You bring up a good point…
Are there no other bags that fit your criteria? I don't understand the point in getting a monogram bag just to paint over the entire thing
Lol I’m extremely picky! I love the vintage vibe it gives off

I agree with everyone else, I think painting an entire monogram bag would not only look tacky, but it would just look awful and cheap. Why spend that kind of money for an LV monogram bag, just to paint over it? Go to Target and get something a lot cheaper that you won't need to paint over.
I bought a cheap SHEIN bag that gives a similar look(oops lol), and it made me want the Sirius even more. Since I know it will be of better quality and I like LV! Lol
