I have the 25 and haven't done anything to it.

I have been using my tea rose rogue for almost a year. I didn't pretreat it with anything, just sometimes use leather conditioner to wipe out dirt, if I got dirt on it. It's still look like new. Fabulous bag!

I have the oxblood with rivets and I've never done anything to the leather. It's softened and held up beautifully. Enjoy your new bag!
