I bought this vintage BV bag at a consignment shop and I've never really known whether it's the original color or faded from black. I'm wondering if I should try dyeing it black.

Any opinions?

My opinion is that it's a bit too regular to be faded; I think it's gorgeous!

Why do you want to dye it black? I think to do a black dye job on this beauty would ruin the aesthetic.

Nice to see you over thisaway, sdkitty!

thanks for the compliment and the welcome indiaink!
A long time ago I showed my bag off to a snooty little SA at Nordies, who suggested I take it in for conditioning as it looked dry. I hate to admit it, but that comment kind of took away some of my pride in the bag.

In any case, with all the weaving, it would probably be hard to dye.
