Hi all, just wonder if the order list for Birkin has been closed at FSH? I called the boutique this morning and the gentleman who works at the handbag dept. told me that now the order list is closed and the next time it'll open will be Jan. or Feb. 2010? Anyone has any other info? Thanks!

The DH was in Paris a couple of weeks ago and was told the same by our regular SA. But that was when he asked about a Birkin. On a different day, he asked another SA (our regular SA was off) about a croc Lindy and was allowed to place an SO for it. FSH works in mysterious ways... :shrugs:

Thanks for this, do you think even if they do accept orders, the orders will only go out in these months?
H works in mysterious ways...

it's usually September and then January.

there are other SAs who will take your order outside those months but it depends on luck/chemistry with SA. :D

Gd to know that but if only they can open for order list not just twice a yr but maybe quarterly...i will try my luck and see...sigh!!~

Just a quick question. How does the order system work in FSH compared to the London shops?
You don't have to queue up on a certain day and the list won't be closed within a few hours like in London?

When you say it is open in September and January, can one just turn up any day in September or January and place an order?? It is not an SO, is it?

I would love to place an order in Paris if possible (although I placed an order in London already. Would it be a problem?).

TIA!!;)

dirty secrets
when asking birkin directly in store or via phone, SA said closed
when buy a other H bag and ask , the answer is yes
some TPF buy a kelly and allow to place 2 so and 1 po at the same time

Imho, placing an order (ANY order) is truly an exception rather than the norm. A lot of people have still been turned down when they asked if they can place an order - usual answer, "NO, the list is closed, not possible..." This is the case, even at FSH (despite reading some success stories here on TPF, failure cases are more often than not the case), hence, if only after a birkin, I guess best to try one's luck during daily delivery times, i.e. 1030 when the store opens, and after 1400. Again, it will be down to flexibility of personal preferences and luck. By all means, try and ask if an order can be placed, but perhaps expectations can be adjusted with the knowledge that chances of getting it through might be slim.
