So I bought a medium Chloe Marcie a few months ago. I haven’t used it yet because I need to get used to the idea of using a bag that cost that much. I also got it in cashmere gray and I’m hard on my bags and hope it doesn’t get dirty.

I also love Stella McCartney’s Falabella bags. Yes I know they’re not real leather but I love them anyway. I know that I can be harder on the Falabella. I’m not sure what color I’d get it in but they’re tough and can be washed.

So, would love your opinions. I love both but can only have one.

Thanks!!

I have a Chloé Marcie medium in black for just over a year now. It’s a very durable bag since I travel overseas with it, have subjected it to light rain, ran over it once with an office chair (by accident!), and from time to time the cat uses it as her chic French cushion to nap on. Still looks new with no scratches, dents or discolouration. I did condition it few months ago using a leather conditioner.

Don’t have a Falabella but they look gorgeous as well. I guess it also depends on what you need to carry as the larger Falabella would obviously be more practical. But I have read that the chains can get heavy (Marcie can also get quite heavy).

Thanks so much for the feedback-I feel the same way and it’s so hard to make up my mind!

I think you would benefit from a little knowledge. If your bag gets dirty, wiping it off with a fragrance-free, alcohol-free baby wipe is probably pretty safe. Search here on TPF and on Google for info on how to maintain your bag.

I understand how you feel though. I feel the same way about some of my premiere bags too.

I had a Medium Marcie in “Nut “and they’re great bags! Very durable, functional, versatile. I carried mine as a daily bag and no signs of wear or color transfer from denim. I’d highly recommend the Marcie. Falabella is a nice choice as well. It really all depends on your personal style, I think.

I went to amazon and looked for collonil and there are so many options...which one do I get?! thanks!
I think you just need to get your head around the idea of a pricey bag. Took me a long time! I think the Marcie leather is is gorgeous and have never heard complaints about it. I think a little bit of thinking and alot of Collonil spray will get you in the right place.
