Kate Spade Opinions please!

I need a new purse like I need a hole in the head, LOL, but I can't resist a sale. I'm a huge pop art fan, and this clutch-on-chain caught my eye on Kate Spade's surprise sale:

I love love love the design, but I'm on the fence about ordering for two reasons:


1) I have a lot of high end bags, and this one is PVC. Will a pvc purse really get usage in my large collection?


2) Based on where the bag falls on the model (although, really, anywhere it falls, LOL), will it draw negative attention because it looks like certain body parts are saying "Pop!"? LOL I know this is a weird question, but I can already hear my dad teasing that my butt is saying "Pop!"


I really love it, but my concerns are about it's practicality. If it were patent leather, honestly, it would be a no brainer, even at a higher price. I'm that much of a Lichtenstein/ pop art fan. Would love your opinions on those two matters - will it draw unwanted attention, and will the vinyl look cheap, especially compared to a mostly very high end leather collection?

I think it's really cute but probably not as practical. If you are a pop art fan, you should get it for fun. I don't think it will draw any negative attention. In fact I didn't think about what you mean until you mentioned it.

I saw the bag on their sale and loved it but had the same thoughts about the POP placement. What if I gained fluff over the winter and someone thought POP would mean pregnant :weird:
Also I'm not a huge fan of PVC bags, they show fingerprints very well especially a black one. All in all I would go for a different way to show your pop art love.

I think you should get it if you are such a fan of Lichtenstein. You will get compliments on it and find other fans. Kate Spade has some gorgeous pvc products, although this is a made for outlet bag so I dont know. I think the style outweighs what material it is. It looks sharp online.

I have this bag. I have used it twice... For NYE and one other party. It's not practical at all! But it is cute! It doesn't hold a lot... However, it's really cheap right now, so I'd go for it! (Because of your message, I just bought a $428 ks for $149! Thanks!! I'm glad I stumbled across here tonight!)

Thanks for the advice everyone! I opted not to go for it this time, because I was worried about if I would use it in vinyl. Truthfully, I have plenty of bags and can't even use them all as it stands And I still haven't broken in the Kate Spade lemon wicker clutch I HAD to have this past year.


I adore her quirky clutches, but I've decided that until I use the ones I've already bought, I should slow down! LOL
