Hi all!

I m considering between a VCA alhambra sweet in white gold with diamonds OR VCA alhambra vintage in white gold or rose gold with diamonds (although think my yellow skin tone would be more suited for white gold).

Wondering if anyone can share their opinion/ experience on the 2? And which would you choose?

Some background: i have asian fair skin with yellow undertones. And i have a fuller chest/broader shoulders.

Honestly, I would go for the vintage size! Unless you really want something ultra-dainty, I wouldn’t go with the sweet size. I think that the vintage pendant is already dainty and honestly the perfect size (not too big, not too small). As far as the metal type… WG will make the diamonds shine and reflect the white light more. The RG will appear warmer. I personally have the YG and I love the look of the warmth next to the diamonds! But it’s all up to personal preference. What other metals do you wear often?

thank you both for sharing!! I wear a diamond pendant daily. Upon reading both your comments- the sweet size looks more and more like my pendant the longer i stare at it

Only question i have is- would the vintage in WG be too shiny and flashy? I plan to wear it comfortably daily causally (with tshirts) and/or formally.

to answer your question- i commonly wear white gold pendents for a modern look. I used to wear yellow gold pendants when i was younger. But the older i am, i feel yellow gold or rose gold necklaces tend to look harsher on me. But for bracelets and rings- i love white gold (a little more) and rose gold. But i do wear yellow gold occasionally too! I mix metals lots.

Also, my local boutique havent had stock for vintage pave white gold. Hence waiting patiently to try it on :P

I would definitely wait for the WG pave vintage. My mom wears it 24/7 and it’s such a great piece. It’s not flashy in the way all pave is, which ironically is why some people don’t like it. They think there is too much metal. And the exact reason I love it. Because there is a decent amount of metal it’s more low key. So it’s worth a try before you commit $3k to the sweet. And yeah. The sweet pretty much fills the same spot as the solitaire. Even if you don’t get the vintage, get something else other than the sweet unless you are strictly dainty jewelry.
