Hi, I fell in love with these RC Venetian Princess turquoise earrings last year in Florence but the store only had a rose gold pair to try. I can order in white or yellow gold but cannot make up my mind which one. I am golden blonde, fair neutral skin, light blue eyes for reference and wear both metals equally but usually more WG in winter/ spring and YG in summer/ fall as my clothing changes.

Agree with all of the above, including the vintage (almost mid century modern) aspect of the YG. I find the YG more luxe and charming than the wg personally. It’s what brands with historic back stories (like Verdura bellperron or Chanel) would use.

IMO only, the wg combo seems more summery bc of the turquoise. But both are very nice; I don’t think you can go wrong with either :)

ETA: I could be totally wrong (I’m no jewelry expert, but the piece seems to me to evoke a kind of romantic Byzantine feeling. So I think that may be another reason why I’m leaning YG.

I disset with Yellow Gold. Historically, ancient turquoise was wrapped in gold and it is an unexpected summer look to wear turquoise and YG rather than WG.

Ultimately, it comes down to your skin tone. Which metal looks better with your skin?

Love the white gold! As others have said, it looks fresher, especially for summer wear.

The yellow gold is also pretty, but it looks a bit more formal and traditional. I think you'll get more wear out of the white gold.

I agree with 808 on two fronts. The YG is very Byzantine which is indicative of this design. Also, and most importantly, if you are drawn to something for goodness sake do not allow a bunch of randos on the internet talk you into something else!

We diverge (sadly because she has impeccable taste) as I prefer the white gold. It has a more cohesive look to me. The yellow makes the X prominent to my eye and the rest of the design falls away like a Rorschach test…

Agreed.

You get both white/yellow with the YG, the best of both worlds and so versatile!
Love them!
