Opinions on Using Mono Print in the Summer

I live in the States, in the Northeast. I feel like my mono bag is too "dark" for the summer but I was looking at it today and I had second thoughts. Maybe it is ok for the summer? So I was wondering what other TPFers thought about carrying mono print in the summer months. Yea or nay?

I wear mono all year, even in the summer. It's a neutral to me.

I feel like the monogram print is so classic and timeless that it never looks out of place, no matter what the season. Similarly, Damier Azur should not be relegated to the spring and summer months only. Carry whatever you want, whenever you want!

Never heard of this. Mono is year round. People also carry Azur in the winter. You can literally do and carry whatever you want, whenever you want.

Definitely in the Summer. I'm from NY and there's nicer weather in the summer, less need to worry over the vachetta...lol. Break it out!

I think it looks really good in the summer! Especially if worn with white/ light colored clothes, light jeans an a nice tan

Id rock mono and de in the summer, imo...canvas looks good year round depending on the outfit.

Its not like its a dark leather, Lol.

Agree with everyone else! I've always considered mono a bag for all seasons.

I do have a few bags that I prefer to carry in summer and some I prefer to carry in winter, but it's my personal preference, not any other reason. I think I enjoy the seasonal rotation because it gives me something to look forward to.

I'm in western Canada and I wear both mono and DE year round while often saving DA for the spring and summer. The DA print actually makes me look more tanned when I have it on, so yay for that!

Mono looks great with denim, cream, tan imo, all summery colours. When it comes to patterned sundresses etc I am thinking DA might look better with those than mono, so am looking to get a DA Neverfull to wear with those.

I used to think the same...that mono and DE were to "heavy" for summer. So, I bought a preloved DA Saleya (was great at the beach last year) and now I have a cherry Mini Lin that I am using a lot this spring. But I realized pretty quick that all the patterns can be worn anytime! I do love DA in winter, and the mono and DE have been great in summertime, too...it just depends what type of bag you need for the occasion.
