Opinions on the puffiness of a Caviar Jumbo

Hi everyone, I was looking at purchasing this Chanel jumbo, in pristine as new condition. However it seems like the quilts aren’t as puffy. I’m not sure if this is due to the caviar leather used in that season (series 18) or if it’s defective. Looks like it’s more of a rigid matte caviar leather. Could I please get some opinions? Is this normal? My other M/L CF in my collection is much puffier/shinier, but does have a softer caviar feel to it.

Should I go ahead and purchase this or continue searching. Seems like the stiffness of the leather is helping keep the bag in good shape though.

I find that every bag is different, and everyone has a difference preference; I don't personally have a strong preference to be honest.
You questioning it indicates to me that you prefer a puffier quilt!
I don't see a defect, however.

Thank you for your response, I actually don’t mind that it isn’t as puffy. Seems like this particular bag would be more durable in the long run due to the stiffness of the leather. But was wondering more so if it was common, as i usually see puffier quilts on jumbos.

My jumbo is also not puffy. It’s a charcoal color and I love it. Definitely not a defect. Whereas my mediums are definitely puffier. But I love them all the same. Like @Swanky said it’s a matter of preference. I think the beige jumbo you posted is beautiful

Added photo for puffiness comparison between my mediums. I would love to add a beige so if the price is right I would snag it. I would say I prefer a puffier medium or small flap and a flatter jumbo puff for durability.

(The one I posted is a double flap) I’m considering this size because the M size doesn’t fit all my necessities, but I always read mixed reviews on the jumbo. I love my jumbo and don’t find it heavy at all. However I do not fill up my jumbo. I put the exact same amounts in my jumbo that I do in my medium flap. Mine is a double flap as well. For reference I usually put in my iPhone, card holder, sunglasses in a soft case, a mini pochette with small necessities and my LV 4 key holder with car fob. I love big bags so I just use them because I love the look and I don’t over fill them.

Same here. I love my jumbo! I’d like to add another. It’s a total vibe. Really a matter of preference on size and quilting.

Thank you! Its hard to tell from the picture but it has light gold hardware which makes it one of most useful year round bags in my collection.
