Opinions on the Elsa Peretti Diamond Hoop Earrings

Every few years I get an urge to wear hoops. I have smaller ones, but not large ones. I only wear gold, for the most part.

Since I love everything Elsa, I went to Tiffany and tried the medium size (I don't think the large come in gold anymore) Diamond hoops. I like them, but hate the price ($1850 in Canada.)

Is it silly to get basic hoops from Tiffany's? I always think something form Tiffany is better. I'd love to hear everyone's opinions!

There are two pairs of the XL 18kt left in Canada for 2.750$. I was in the other day looking for these as well. They also still make the large which are 2,200$ .

I tried the medium and found them to be about 1/3/4 - 2" in diameter. Kind of a nice everyday size.

I didn't try the large. Should I? What size are they? Do you know? My SA was lacking in knowledge, I knew more than her about Elsa items, and she had trouble finding things in the drawer.

Did you love them or did you find they were similar to any other hoop out there?
