So, I'm looking for that "one" bag that I would like to use for years to come.

My absolute DREAM bag is Givenchy Antigona. I mean, it haunts my dreams and I am *not* a bag girl (sorry! :D).

Anyway, I don't have the income to ever afford the Antigona, but MK Selma is also really lovely, catching my eye & is a lot lower in price.

What I would like to know is if the saffano leather is durable or not, and in general, if Selma is durable as an everyday bag?

I would literally be trying to use this bag every day for years, I just want my "HG bag", you know?

I don't know much about saffano, I did some reading but I suppose not all bags are created equal.

Does anyone have any input about scratches, waterproofing, how the color "keeps", etc? How has your Selma held up?

I would be SO grateful for any help, thank you. :-)

I have the Selma and the Saffiano leather is a life saver! So incredibly sturdy, scratch resistant, and waterproof from what I've noticed. It's not a bag you have to baby as much. It's not going to be your HG but it is an amazing bag!! I am truly in love with it and use it regularly. It even held up nicely at a conference recently while it was filled to the brim. It kept its shape and still looks impeccable.

Go for it! I think the selma would be a great option for what you´re looking for. The saffiano leather is very durable, does not scratch and holds its shape very well. I have the white one and wear that one a lot with dark denim (that has not even been washed) and there is no color transfer at all. It´s truly value for you money!

My selma is in the mail right now I cant wait! I am graduating college and was looking for a bag for a mature business woman starting out, and I think the selma is going to be a great everyday bag for me! Especially to bring to the office.

Good to hear about the white being so durable. I have my eye on the black/white combo and was hesitant bc the back is white. I also wear a lot of dark denim.

This is my first saffiano leather and I can't believe how good it is.

I'm a Balenciaga girl and love my bags smooshy and slouchy. There was something about the Selma that just caught my eye and I have the neon yellow messenger on its way to me, so that will make it my 3rd Selma.

I wore my Zinnia large Selma with green jeans and it was rubbing on the jeans all day. It was only when I sat down that I realized that I had only washed the jeans once and it has rubbed into my other bags. I was very surprised that no colour transfer had happened.

Btw, I also have the antigona. My only issue with the bag is the opening. Sometimes it's hard and finicky to get in and out of it. The Selma has a million compartments inside, looks and feels durable.
