I am considering buying a gold tone watch. Problem is, I don't know how to coordinate it with outfits!! Stainless steel, silver watches seem to blend in more easily. Gold tone also seems much less classic.

I would greatly appreciate everyone's comments.

I am specifically looking at this watch:

You could always get a two-tone, that way it goes with anything. Or if you already have a silver/stainless one, just wear it with silver and your new one with gold. But I think it's okay to mix metals, I do it all the time.

in my opinion yellow gold is as classic as can be !

i love yellow gold watches the have such a glow and i also believe yellow gold suits everyone it may look "new" or "wrong" at first but after some time one will love it.

if you set your heart one a yellow gold watch go for it !

I think the two-tone idea is a good one. However, it is possible to wear a gold watch, regardless of skintone. I am fair, but have two goldtone pieces. The one I wear is smaller, about 28mm. That seems fine. I also tend to wear that one in the summer. I also have a 40mm sized watch and it makes it loom larger. However,I am divided about that one. If you have gold jewelry and jewel tone colors, gold is fantastic. It is classic. You might want to experiment with smaller gold pieces first, before trying a larger timepiece. JMHO.
