I used to be really into them, but I feel recently they went a bit downhill. I bought one of their caps, with the icon logo, and it feels like a 10 dollar cap off high street. Their designs are also very simple and tacky imo with huge logos everywhere. It's not what I expect from a luxury brand. I haven't tried their denim which is supposed to be top tier though.

What's your perception of the brand?

Quality and design wise, I've always thought of them as a worse D&G.

I used to like them. But that was over a decade ago?
They were always more meat packing district fashion than dolce.
IMO dolce denim (not D&G) from 1996-2004 was some of the best denim ever made.
Polished, hard finished, sleek, comfortable, cut well and tailored, without stretch.
And, more often than not, lined in beautiful animal printed silk.

I had a pair of DSquared2 jeans for a few years, but got rid of them, they were well made but so ridiculously oversized.
I’m small, but I bought them online-they claimed to be a uk2 (us 00) but they were too big, and no amount of washing would shrink them.

I’m not That small, although I have no hips…I would say that they’re vanity sized to the extreme..

Wow how can you compare high quality and classic design of DG to that low class brand? I’m speechless.
It's not a low class brand, Dsquared2 is on the same level as most high end designers in terms of pricing and exclusivity, their clothes are high quality, its just their designs can be seen as tacky, but thet are a streetwear brand and that's how most are.

Exactly. Dsquared is a tacky street wear and Dolce and Gabbana is an Italian classic luxury. Nothing similar here.

It’s the high end jeans brand of Diesel which itself still has its own catwalk collection in Milan Fashion Week.(soon in September 2023).
Dsquared is owned by Diesel???

Dsquared is much more than a jeans brand though. They are well known for caps, tees, sweatshirts, jackets. The "icon" logo is well popular and worn by celebrities ww. The prices are definitely luxury.

Same owner -I can’t remember the name, it’s something like Renzo Rosso??

It’s his luxury line. But yes, same owner(or definitely used to be).
