Hello everyone!

I am looking for opinions on this specific diamond for an engagement ring. Here are the specs:

1.07
6.56x6.57x4.05
H Color
VS1 Clarity
AGS Ideal/Ideal/Ideal

Depth: 61.7
Table: 56
Crown Angle: 34.6
Pavilion Angle: 40.6
Crown %: 15.2
Lower Girdle %: 77

After comparing diamonds of a similar size, I notice the depth at 61.7 is slightly larger (making the table smaller) so I am wondering if the diamond is proportionate for its weight. Also, I am curious as to why it was rated a VS1 when the inclusion plot is almost spotless. Do you guys think it's actually closer to a VVS? There are no other inclusions noted on the certificate.

My ring size is a 4 3/4 and the setting will be a simple pave band (no halo). Originally, I was looking for something closer to a 1.2-1.3ct with similar specs (reducing color to 'I' and clarity to VS2) but nothing I found had a clean table, which is important to me. Would it be better to buy something a little bigger that is eye clean even with inclusions on the table or stick with something a little smaller that is almost spotless? A larger stone with H color and VS1 clarity is out of my budget so I would have to sacrifice color or clarity for the larger stone.

Thanks for all your opinions!

Pass. Table is huge. This does not fall in my guidelines.

There is probably a grade maker with that cloud that makes it a vs1. That being the first inclusion noted makes it the most prominent. That said it's still a vs1 so to anything but a super set of eyes and a trained grader that cloud is likely dumb invisible.

The reason this stone is in likely falling in your budget is bec its not cut well.

I'd look at an I color and vs1 range to stay in this size range. An I isn't going to be yellow, it's not likely to be any warmer than an H even side by side.

I think I'd stick with the first bec crystals can be iffy. But in a vs1 it might not be so bad. I need to know if it's clear. The location concerns me. However if you want to send me links to the actual stones so I can see the close ups of the stone, I can give you a better assessment. I know the seller based on the clips you're sending me and the backgrounds. So just link me in a PM.

And since that was a booboo you're golden really either way. I get the desire for larger but don't sacrifice eye clean for larger bec seeing an inclusion will drive you nuts.
