Trying to make a decision for my birthday present. I can only buy one bag. I have been wanting a rogue 25 for a while but I refuse to pay full price. My SA currently has the Hay colored one on hold for me to look at. They also have these two rogue satchels in stock. I think all three of these bags are lovely. I'm just not sure what would be the wiser purchase since I can only have one. Also, I don't carry a lot in my bags. So size isn't really a concern.

The satchels will be significantly heavier than the 25. Do you carry your bags by season or year round? Maybe think about which one you'll use more often? I don't carry a lot either so all the items I carry in my Rogue 30 fit into my 25. In the satchel i feel like I have wasted space. I had the 25 in the petal pink with snake but returned as I wanted something a little more simple and classic than the pink and black. Also consider your wardrobe. Do you match your bag with your outfits? Probably not much help but some things to think about.

I think for an every day bag I would go with the black satchel because it would go with everything and the whipstitch gives it extra looks. But for not an every day bag I would go for the hay rogue that is just too cute. Just depends on if you're looking for a daily bag or a switch up one

I have both of those satchels and loooove them. They are roomy, super squishy, and really comfortable crossbody or over the shoulder; and look cute when hand carried as well. I don't carry a lot either, but I also like having the room in case, and not having to play Jenga with my belongings everytime I go into my bag.

However, they are heavier than the Rogue 25 - heck, I think they are heavier than my regular Rogues (there is a tradeoff for that size!). And bigger. Those are things to consider, depending on your use, and how you carry it.

It sounds to me though you really want a Rogue 25. If you get a satchel, are you still going to be wondering about that Rogue 25?

I'd go with the Rogue 25. If you do go with the satchel, I'd personally go for the oxblood. I'm not sure why, and I know I'm in the very small minority, but I don't care for solid black bags at all. lol I think this Rogue 25 is more fun (with the pop of color and snake accents), but not too wild or "out there".

I'd say that it probably depends on what else is in your bag arsenal. The Hay is really springy and cheerful, but it's not something I'd consider carrying in fall or winter. The Oxblood and Black satchels I would carry year-round, and would be more practical in terms of not getting colour transfer, and not having an exotic material to take care of.

Another thing to consider is the way you prefer to carry your bags. Clipping together the straps on the Rogue 25 if you want to carry crossbody can be uncomfortable (since the clips will dig into you) and the length cannot be changed, whereas the satchel's adjustable strap is super nice. If you're a hand-carry gal, all of these options will work just fine. If you're a shoulder-carry gal, Rogue is your best bet.

You've gotten a lot of great advice. Another thing to think about is if you are OK with two shoulder straps or one. The Rogue has two shoulder straps and sometimes one will slip off your shoulder (at least that happens to me). The Satchel only has the one but it can't be carried as close to your armpit as I prefer because there aren't enough adjustment holes to make it a shorter length. I was also bothered by how heavy and large even the smallest satchel was. I had bought a satchel during the sale but ultimately returned it because I felt it was really too large and I wouldn't reach for it that much. It does sound like you really want the Rogue 25 as that is what you mentioned first. I think that hay colored one with the snake handles is absolutely adorable. I would carry it any time of year if I had it. I just don't have a lot of light colored bags, I have mostly bases of blues, pinks, browns, black, green (and only one yellow!). If you want a different color rogue 25 that is on sale, you could always ask your SA to order you (or you could do it yourself online) a Rogue 25 in Azure. I saw one in person and it is really beautiful, it is also just under $300 due to the sale.

I don't go for solid black bags, but, at least in real life, the solid of the black satchel is really broken up by the yellow-orange stitching (which matches the suede lining) and the oxblood embellished handle. Both the black and oxblood are so much prettier in person than in photos, I think; I do love the oxblood colour, but I also find the black one more visually interesting with the contrast colours.

I love the oxblood color as well even though I don't yet own any in this color!

I love the Rogue 25 - have three myself. With that said, I'd go with the black satchel (your first photo) simply because it'd be more versatile and I love the extra detail on the handle. I saw the hay 25 you're looking at and while I love yellow bags, this one seems really muted, kind of pastel. I'd find it hard to match with clothing outside of spring and maybe summer.

Is this the only 25 you're looking at? There's also an azure Rogue 25 available for a steal right now.

I did see the rogue 25 in azure on the website. I asked my SA about it and she said there were only 13 left in the company as of yesterday. It's out of stock online today, so I'm assuming it's all gone.
The only rogue 25 that I can get as part of the sale would be the Hay color with snake detail. I'm going to have to see it in person compared to the satchel.

That's my worry is the weight of the satchel. I am pregnant and sometimes my back bothers me when I wear a bag crossbody that is too heavy.

If you are interested in the Azure you could check with your SA again. I had a Butterscotch Rogue and returned it...a couple weeks later I really had regrets. There were supposedly 6 remaining in the company, it was not online either. So - outlook was grim. The store I called placed an order / a backorder - then I guess JAX must reach out to the stores they show may have the item. It shipped about 5 days later and it was perfect and still wrapped up quite a bit. It is worth a try if you want the azure. I have seen that color in other handbags in person but not the Rogue 25. It is pretty.

Rogue 25 aside...I think the Oxblood Satchel is very pretty but if you feel that style would be too heavy maybe pick a Rogue 25.

That's lucky! I'll have to check with her this weekend. I'm going to the store to look at some bags on Saturday. Hopefully, I will find something. Wish me luck!
