Hi!

I just purchased a medium black Antigona in sugar leather. I have wanted one forever but I'm on the fence about the sugar leather vs. smooth/shiny. I really love them both and I'm torn between the look of the shiny and the functionality of the sugar leather (I figure it'll be easier to take care of). Any opinions or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hey I was having the same problems. I purchased a small black goatskin and although the bag is beautiful I think the shiny just makes it so special and really compliments the shape of the Antigona. I sold my goatskin and now have a mini smooth in dark beige and I love her! If you are feeling on the fence I would change it as when spending this much money on a bag we need to be 100% happy. [emoji173]️

That is a tough choice. I think they have both proven to be so stunning and great leathers overall. They each have to pros and cons. I think it comes down to which feels and looks the way you want? Which one REALLY makes you feel that LOVE for the bag and perhaps which compliments your wardrobe, style, and life better?

I recently went through the same dilemma and ended up with the goatskin. For me it came down to my personal lifestyle and wardrobe. I'm always in casual clothing, jeans etc. and spend a lot of time in the gym. I found the goatskin worked great with my wardrobe whereas the shiny was just too dressy for me. Quick funny story, I went into Barneys post workout one day and tried on both versions. The goatskin med Antigona was stunning with my gym clothes!!! Seriously edgy looking and the shiny just seemed out of place lol. That's when I knew it was goatskin for me[emoji4]. Couldn't be happier! Honestly, like Hrhsunshine said choose the one that fits your lifestyle more and the one you love the most! GL and be sure to do a reveal when you decide!

I think either can be worn with whatever you want. Both are beautiful. I personally have the sugar leather....I really love the look of it. I think whenever you spend a great deal of money you second guess yourself a little...think on it a couple days and you should figure out what you want to do. I do think that the sugar leather may be just a little easier to take care of.

Thanks for your feedback ladies! I agree - they're both great bags! I really can't go wrong. I feel like I love them equally (that's the problem - haha). I love the look of the shiny leather and that it probably keeps it structure a bit better than the sugar leather. I also really love how the sugar leather can be dressed up or dressed down though. And that it's probably a bit easier to care for in terms of scratches. I'm not sure if it's more likely to lose it's shape though. I'm going to follow @jaxholt15's advice and give it a few days. I will definitely post a reveal when I've committed 100% lol.

Hi LDDChanel! I am also interested in buying a black medium Antigona. Ever since I saw the bag, I find myself attracted to the sugar leather (goatskin) much more than the smooth/shiny. I'm not sure whether the sugar leather is more scratch-resistant and/or durable, but I love its look.

hi, why did you sell your small one? is the mini a better size? i return my dark beige mini and thinking to get a black mini now..
