I’ve seen this style of ring lots on websites and IG in so many iterations…with stones at the ends, or pave, thick/thin, bypass/swirl, versions for stacking or with e-ring, various shapes, etc. Designer versions like Yurman Renaissance. But have always wondered about comfort and if the ends get snagged on things.

Anyone have experience with this type of ring? Pros/cons? Are they trendy or classic? Show modelling shots if you have them!

Bought a cheap costume one on Etsy years ago to try the look. Glad I did.
Did not like how it looked on my finger and it was not evenly aligned. I think that the amount of space/gap really affects how the ring looks. Therefore, depending on finger size and width, it will look different on each person and vary from finger to finger.
I think it also has a chance of warping over time, eventually, since it's open-ended.

I have an open ring I wear whenever I leave the house. It's not claw shaped at the end, so rarely gets caught. Mine is very dainty though, so I do worry about it getting misshapen because I'm hard on, well, everything, especially rings. I bought it because of the engraving on the inside, but there are so many different iterations I think it can be a classic piece if it lines up with the rest of one's pieces.

I do recommend the route @lill_canele suggested in getting a cheaper option to try the style out and also think it's important to try on rings when possible as different rings will suit different hands and fingers.

Anyway, here’s mine:

I’ve tried them on and didn’t like the way they look on me. I can’t vouch for wearability or longevity, but just based on the way the look, it’s a no from me.
