Onyx or MOP for Vintage earrings

Should I go for onyx or MOP for vintage earrings?

on Pendant - I find onyx to be more striking.
however for earrings, I’m concerned it may fade to background with black hair half covering the ears.

- MOP earrings (vintage or magic)
- Onyx pendant (magic)

There might be more contrast between the MOP and your dark hair. Both pieces are gorgeous. I think it depends on your style as well. If your style is more edgy, I think the onyx looks great with monochromatic clothes. If you’re more girly, I love MOP with colourful or floral dresses.

I love the look of MOP but hate how delicate it is. If I were ever getting MOP, it'll definitely be a pair earrings. Personally I find onyx more striking on a pendant and bracelet. I think mix & matching stones are fine, as long as they're in the same metal color.

I have both onyx and mop- I almost never wear the mop these days. I’m relatively fair with light hair…it seems to lack contrast for me - plus the durability concerns.
but both are lovely!

These are all very interesting perspective. Maybe I’ll go with magic so either MOP or onyx doesn’t fade into the background. I do wear mostly monochromatic clothes.I’ll be traveling in couple of months time and hope to snag one then! Thank you all!
