Hi,

I am going to work in another country for about six months. And I can only bring so much with me. I was wondering which bags would you guys bring if you could only bring three? :graucho:

I have a Neverfull GM, and two Mulberry alexa bags medium, bayswater, small lily, and a few others from other brands. But I am thinking about treating myself to another bag. Either a Neverfull mm or a Gucci disco bag or maybe a Balenciga or Goyard? But I cant really choose....
:(

If from your own collection, I'd choose:

Bayswater (work appropriate)
Neverfull (for weekend shopping)
Third ones is def to be a clutch/Wallet on chain: something you can crossbodied for that casual look, or remove the chain to become a clutch. I use Proenza Schouler PS11 woc for this

Hi,

I have recently bought a new bag designer Massaccessi handbags from Italy. I travel a lot for work and fly at least 2 to 3 times a month on business. I bought his Selene bag and it is great for traveling. I can fit my laptop in it if I choose to do that and it carries a lot of stuff. His Minerva style is also a great carryall bag. The price point is really good for handmade Italian bags made the old fashioned way one bag at a time. I have his bag in pebbled leather and it is incredibly hardy and holds up to all the travel and work trips that I do as well as daily use. The Selene is around $350 US and beautifully made. Here is the website if you want to take a look at them.

I am not associated with the brand in any way I am just a satisfied customer and thought you might be interested if you are in the market for a new bag.

There are some great suggestions already but will share my personal experience with a 6 month trip away from home.

I had to travel to a neighboring country and am halfway through my 6 month stint.

Since I had to go to work, court and classes I took my Phantom, a Burberry Buckleigh tote (which I only use when I have to carry my lappie, which is very rarely) and my Nightingale (works for every situation and doesn't attract a lot of attention). For my off-time, I wear a Fendilicious (which is a wallet on chain bag) and my Chanel 228 (great for sneaking a drink and chips into the movie theater - don't judge :smile1:). Gosh, I also took a small clutch and envirosax bags. :shame: (Geez, I'm quite a bag lady).

I'll admit, its a lot of bags but oddly enough I rotate them during the course of the week, depending on my personal needs.

With that said, take the bags you love, use often and will make sense for where you will be. A tote is always useful, as is a small bag. I agree that you should wait to get to your destination before buying anything new as you may find something you love. And if you're a bag lady like me, then take what you need and enjoy your 6 months away.

Good luck!
