There are fake shoes, however, I think people like Payless can legally copy some styles that are current, they just aren't mirror image. I have noticed Steve Madden's stuff used to look like Manolo Blahnik's stuff, it was just a lot cheaper.
yes yes there are fake shoes out there- however, most popular styles by high end designers like christian louboutin, are copied by lower end trendy brands like steve maden, bebe, and aldo. so people can have the "look" of a $700 pair of shoes for $100- but the quality, craftsmanship, and fit are nowhere close. i've also seen copied spy bags at forever21 and b-bag copies at bebe this summer. crazy.
