Online vs in-store purchase?

If you have a store near you, I recommend in person. It is a lot of fun to browse at their offerings, plus the overhead lights make everything glimmer beautifully in the store. I did notice that after a recent remodel, one of the stores near me had far less in the showcases than before, and instead of waiting informally for a SA, somebody near the entrance took down names on an iPad. That system worked well, but I met the SA I like to work with in a different store, and have really enjoyed interacting with her over the years.

Plus if you have anything that needs polishing, you can bring it in and leave it. This used to be done while you wait, but more recently the couple of stores I go to have asked customers to leave the items and then pick them up several days later.

Either way, enjoy the experience!

Thank you! I am glad I went in-person. The specific opal of the piece they had in store was pinker than one I had tried on previously, so the SA ordered me a new one to compare!

Of course then I had to try on some other pieces for fun. Though now I’m trying to justify a second purchase!

Last year I bought a bone cuff in store and then when it was too big and the store didn’t have a smaller one I ordered it online.

The box they gave me in-store was way nicer. It wasn’t packaged badly online, but the in-store one was the really pretty leather wrapped (or at least like leather like) turquoise box with built in cushion and holder for the cuff.

The online one was the normal paper turquoise box.

If you can go in-store it’s a lovely experience.
